The Université Clermont Auvergne and INRAE are inaugurating the HOMIGUT International Associated Laboratory (Host Microbes Interactions in the Human Gut) on Tuesday 19 November 2024.
The LIA HOMIGUT brings together the MEDIS UCA/INRAE joint research unit and the CMET (Center of Microbial Ecology and Technology) laboratory at Ghent University in Belgium, following more than ten years of collaboration.
This laboratory, which has received financial support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region (Ambition internationale 2023) and the CIR3 of the I-SITE CAP 20-25, is studying the role of small intestine microbiota in human nutrition and health, and developing restoration strategies based on plant extracts, pre- or probiotics in the event of pathologies.
